Good Vibrations

WOW! Its so nice outside. I haven't worn a shirt today. OK, so I've on;y been up for an hour and a half but you get the point. The weather is sweet.... and to think I was wearing longjohns 10 days ago (and witnessing basil plants having a rough time). Summer has started in the old Northumberland and I sure hope it proves to be a good one. Tons of people are back from school (and other adventures) and weeks seem to be going by in a blur already.
I do wish that a certain BNN would drop me a line when he was in the PHD so i wouldn't have to keep tabs on his where-abouts from a drunken, but very witty, 8 fingered friend as we get checked out by every girl in the CBG......
So as i wait by the phone I'll throw up some pics from the last little bit.

(pause to flip record)

This is one of many picts taken at the celebration of TD turning 25.

and here is another.

The picture is less than stellar because I was effed and I didn't have a flashlight. However, if you are ever in need of some serious laughs then get 3 drunken friends together with lots of fireworks (sounds safe already). Put them ontop of a windy hill and watch them attempt to light the explosives inside an outhouse and make it back out before someone takes a fireball in the face. PURE GOLD!!!

Well.... My cheese is starting to sweat so i best be eating it soon. Shine on you crazy diamonds.

From East to North

Yeah for me! Since I last blogged I have been accepted into UofGuelph and I have landed myself a job at a better restuarant. I get to work with Johnny D!!! It's gonna be sweet..... or so i really hope. Only uptight and/or anal rich people could bring it down.

In other news: I also had some ripping good times with Teddy as I took care of my parents house for a week. (For those who know, stay tuned for futher updates, as I will put them up once I fully recover.) I got to perform some of the nicest drunk cycling accidents that i have been part of in 2006. Who knew gin and tonics and beer and smoke don't go well?!? Seriously, all those who read this and know of the "the place" back in highschool, Teddy and I have "the new place". You should all come and see it some time. And drink beer. It's effing grand.
I really want to ask: why keep your socks on?

The lesson with this photo is don't throw rocks at lonesquirrel, your barrel will float away.

I would like to take this moment to say "well done Weldon"! I owe you a drink. And please don't mock me for finishing after you. If you do, I'll wrestle you to the ground. Squirrel Style!

Another side note: one of our cats just came in and he has motor oil ALL over his legs! How did that happen? I took a pict but I won't download it for a while so stay tuned.... BTW. Will he die if he licks it off?!? I hope not 'cause he is an ex-stray and won't let me hold him for too long, let alone rub all his limbs with a soapy cloth. Poor kitty.

Slight Hangover #37

Drinking has its downsides. The main two for me are: 1) My head and body the next day and 2) My wallet. On the upside I've developed a great relationship with codine. Wait!.... Is that an upside? Is there an upside?!? Am I too old? Too lame? What?

Some may really like getting sloshed. (I'm looking your way, leaders of the D4L) Some can do it and get away seemingly unscathed. Last night I witnessed two guys drink an entire 24 each. There are some details that are needed to justify the boast. They did it over 12 hours and it was only 4% beer but none-the-less... I will never, ever be able to do that. Should I feel inadequate? Or smart to not even try.

D4L!
I know that I will keep drinking. (even if its just to meet warm, friendly police officers) I LOVE the taste of beer and wine. As well, I like gin and tonics (and pink lemonade), black russians, whiskey and ginger, tequila, etc.... The list is big. I have never liked shooters. But I think my dislike for shooters aligns with my attitude for drinking fast.
I have learned not to try and keep up. That's it. Keep my own pace. And remember kids... if you are going to pop painkillers before bed in an attempt to try and avoid a pounding head the next day.... DO NOT USE TYLENOL! It works your liver and impeeds its ability to break down booze. Try advil. Eating bananas will help too, but I'm not about to go into why.

Good night and drink right.

Side note: This is my 21st post, which is also my favorite number.
